IQ scores are estimates, not verdicts. If your number feels off, the most useful thing is usually to look at the four domain sub-scores rather than the headline figure. Strong abstract and spatial reasoning with weaker verbal can move a single full-scale number meaningfully. Tell us what surprised you and we'll point you to the part of the result that probably explains it. If we think the test let you down, we'll say so.
Our items come from the ICAR (International Cognitive Ability Resource), a peer-reviewed open-source item bank. We're happy to walk through the validation evidence, the reliability of our scoring, the limitations of any single online sitting, and how online ICAR scores compare with full clinical instruments such as the WAIS-IV. If you're a researcher needing a more technical reference list, just say so.
Journalists can request comment on intelligence-testing trends or the validity of online IQ tests. Researchers can request anonymised, aggregate data for academic work. We answer these within a working day where we can. For partnerships and integrations, include a sentence on what you have in mind so we can route the message to the right person.
The test is browser-scored — your answers are not sent to a server unless you explicitly choose to share results. If you'd like any account or shared-result data removed, email us from the address tied to that data and we'll process the deletion. You don't need to give a reason. Our privacy policy covers retention, third parties, and the legal basis for processing.
